How the Chevrolet College Appreciation Program Works
Like other programs we offer, the Chevrolet College Appreciation program has its terms and conditions. We’re only summarizing below. Full details, and any questions you may have, should be discussed with your Chevy dealer.
Program Overview
In contrast to some other programs we offer, the Chevrolet College Appreciation incentive applies only to Chevy vehicles. Our GMC models don’t qualify. However, your $500 bonus cash can be combined with your trade-in value, as well as a number of Chevy lease and finance offers.
Who Qualifies, and How?
You qualify if you’re a currently enrolled college or grad student, or if you’ve graduated from a two-year or four-year college within the last two years. If you’re eligible, you can even sponsor your spouse. It’s easy to get started:
- Pick your new Chevy vehicle
- Find a participating Chevy dealership
- Bring your authorization code to your test drive
Which Models Qualify?
Most new Chevrolet models, with the exception of the Chevy Corvette, and some other models’ base trims, qualify. Any questions you have about your own or your chosen vehicle’s eligibility, or your Chevy financing, can be taken up with your Chevy dealer.

Q: How do I show proof of eligibility?
A: You’ll sign up through ID.me, whereupon you’ll receive an authorization code to bring to your Chevy dealership.
Q: How long is that authorization valid?
A: It expires after 90 days, after which you’ll need a new code.
Q: Can I still get financing outside of GM Financial?
A: Of course. Just be aware that certain APRs and offers are only available through GM Financial.
Q: Is this limited to dealer stock?
A: Pre-orders and special orders of qualifying models are eligible, too.
Q: Can I use this offer at any Chevy dealership?
A: Participation is optional, and program terms can change at any time. It’s best to call ahead.
Q: I recently bought a new Chevy SUV. Does this offer apply?
A: It cannot be applied retroactively.
